Join the fight against breast cancer by participating in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer® 5K walk on October 19 opening at Kanawha and Dominion Plazas and then walking along a scenic view of the James River. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the walk begins at 1:30 p.m. This inspiring event unites the entire community to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors, educates women about the importance of reducing their cancer risk, and raises money to fund lifesaving research and support programs to further our progress against this disease.
