Cancer: Real Men, Real Stories, Real Hope is a 10 minute video featuring real cancer survivors encouraging men to take care of themselves by adopting healthy lifestyles, getting regular check-ups and getting screened for cancer. In the video, these American Cancer Society volunteers tell their personal stories which are interspersed with screening guidelines from local physicians. Introduced by Chicago news anchor and cancer survivor Warner Saunders and narrated by TV's Dr. Michael Breen, these survivors offer hope to other men and urge them to be more proactive in taking control of their health. The video production was a grass roots effort on the part of the ACS Illinois Northwest Suburban Men's Health Task Force, a group of 16 physicians, survivors and caregivers dedicated to creating cancer awareness in men and moving them to action.
