"Spend every day as if it was your last." That's Monica's advice for parents of children who are fighting cancer. Her three-year-old son Ayden was diagnosed with Wilm's Tumor, a rare type of kidney cancer, in May of 2007. "It's been so hard," says Monica, "but with help from friends and family, plus the American Cancer Society's Patient Navigator Program, some of the burden has been lifted." She's also glad for the advanced technology and wonderful doctors here in Sioux Falls. "It's so great to see that there are a lot more survivors than there used to be!"
