Location: Leesburg, FL

In 1990 we had said that someday we would move to Florida. That someday came to pass sooner than we expected. In the year 2001, we were in the process of adopting a baby. Just 1 week before the social worker called with a match of a baby boy from Taigon, Korea, my husband lost his job. The same night that the social worker called, we found out that my parents could no longer keep the house we were in, since we were paying them rent. We had no other choice but to move to Florida. We also had to call the social worker back and tell her we could not go through with the adoption. In March of 2002, we moved to Florida. In May of 2003, I was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer. They caught it early enough to do something about it. On August 11, 2003, just 3 days before my 43rd birthday, I had a Total Hysterectomy. The doctor told me a few weeks later that it was Stage 1B cancer. It was in the inner wall of the Uterine, but had just started to spread. The doctor recommended 3 doses of radiation treatment to make sure that none of the bad cells dropped back in when he was removing my Uterine. So I've been cancer free since August 11, 2003. Just 4 months after my surgery, my doctor retired. The Lord had the perfect timing for me. If we had still lived in New Jersey, I don't believe I would still be alive. The Lord knew first of all that I would not have gone to the doctor in New Jersey, and even if I did, I don't think the doctors there would have found it. The Lord knew what doctors would find the cancer. I relay because I just love to share how the Lord saved my life.
